Anne-Marie has ticked all the “lawyer boxes” including proving her technical, leadership and dispute resolution expertise as part of the recent reforms of Australia’s busiest court.

She has given hundreds of presentations in a career spanning over 25 years, and in being named the 2018 WLAQ Woman Lawyer of the year, she powerfully articulated what so many lawyers feel: the exhaustion associated with being a gladiator, rather than a problem solver.

That speech “went viral” and struck a chord with lawyers and non-lawyers, men and women around the world.

Since then Anne-Marie has given presentations to diverse national and international audiences including lawyers, engineers, psychologists and teachers. With trademark courage and good humour she has reimagined traditional approaches to conflict and explored the challenges of parenting amidst the professional whirl.
