Anne-Marie is a problem-solver: a lawyer with a difference.

She has given presentations to diverse national and international audiences including lawyers, engineers, psychologists and teachers.

Presentations

Anne-Marie has ticked all the “lawyer boxes” including proving her technical, leadership and dispute resolution expertise as part of the recent reforms of Australia’s busiest court.

She has given hundreds of presentations in a career spanning over 25 years, and in being named the 2018 WLAQ Woman Lawyer of the year, she powerfully articulated what so many lawyers feel: the exhaustion associated with being a gladiator, rather than a problem solver.

“I am tired from 20 years of doing a job through a prism that is fundamentally inconsistent with who I am;
A lens that I find one dimensional and inherently aggressive.”

That speech “went viral” and struck a chord with lawyers and non-lawyers, men and women around the world.

Since then Anne-Marie has given presentations to diverse national and international audiences including lawyers, engineers, psychologists and teachers.  With trademark courage and good humour she has reimagined traditional approaches to conflict and explored the challenges of parenting amidst the professional whirl.

Known for her thoughtful honesty and empathy, Anne-Marie is a dynamic Key Note Speaker who will both entertain and challenge.  She tackles the hard questions with curiosity and will leave you inspired and ready to view yourself and your workplace, teams and colleagues through a new, positive lens.

My god you’re articulate. I can’t believe that 20 years in the law hasn’t driven every bit of creativity and eloquence out of you! Which means that your message will be so well heard by a wider audience than ever. I thank you for that ... this discussion and need for reinvention is long overdue.
